HMT Marine HMT Marine is a research and development company that has filed patents to protect the technology it has developed. A patent has been granted for the loop keel in the UK under Number GB2408487 and applications are currently pending in Europe, the USA, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. This allows us to prevent anyone using the technology without having a valid licence issued by us. This extends to craft that are built in a country not covered by patent and then subsequently brought into a protected country. (Please see article below.)
